Update on MAC Payments: Processing Issue at HHSC

We want to provide an important update regarding Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) payments.

Due to a processing issue at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), MAC payments to districts are currently delayed. This issue impacts payments beginning with Quarter JS24 and will remain in effect until HHSC resolves the matter.

At this time, the timeline for correction is unknown, as the problem falls outside of the MAC department’s direct control. We recognize the importance of timely funding and the impact these delays can have on district planning and operations.

Our team is actively monitoring the situation and maintaining communication with HHSC. We will provide updates as soon as new information becomes available.
