The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has announced that the Cost Report Review Unit (CRRU) will begin reviewing Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2025 SHARS Cost Reports in late July. This annual review process is an important part of ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper Medicaid reimbursement for districts across Texas.

What to Expect During the Review
Beginning in late July, CRRU will examine each district’s submitted FFY 2025 SHARS Cost Report and supporting documentation. As part of this process, CRRU may contact the districts and ONWARD to request clarification or additional documentation.
