Please remember that the SHARS federal fiscal year 2026 third quarter (AJ26) participant closing closing date is March 06, 2026.

The RMTS Contact must update/certify the PL prior to this closing date.  The PL can only be accessed by an RMTS Contact who has completed the HHSC mandatory annual training requirements.

If an entity certified a PL for the previous quarter, that PL information has been carried over to the PL for the current quarter.  The RMTS Contact must ensure that any necessary changes, additions, or deletions are entered.  The PL must be updated/certified quarterly prior to the closing date using the “no change” option even if there are no changes.

Once the PL closes on March 6th, an entity will be unable to make any other changes for the third quarter of FFY 2026.  It is important to remember that for a position to be included for Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) or for the School Health and Related Services (SHARS) cost report, it first must be included on the PL.

To remain eligible to participate in the SHARS program and/or the Medicaid MAC program, each LEA must:

• Update/Certify the third quarter (AJ26) participant list
• Complete RMTS contact training requirements

If the current PL is not updated, certified, and has not completed their annual RMTS contact training requirements by the deadline, the entity will be ineligible to participate in the SHARS program for the entire 2026 fiscal year and ineligible to participate in the Medicaid MAC program for the quarter.
