Many school districts have begun receiving the notification to complete the annual SHARS Reimbursement Survey. This one-question survey is required for ALL districts that received IDEA-B grant funding in the 2022-2023 school year. The survey must be completed by a district employee. All LEAs that received an Individuals with Disabilities with Education Act, Part B (IDEA-B) federal grant in the 2022–2023 school year must submit the SHARS Reimbursement Report Survey by November 3, 2023. Your LEA is required to respond, regardless of whether you received School Health and Related Services (SHARS) reimbursements. TEA will use the information you report in conducting fiscal year 2023 IDEA-B local educational agency (LEA) maintenance of effort (MOE) compliance reviews which will be made available in spring 2024.
